View across St Moritzersee

By TrevBatWCC
Arriving in St Moritz, before going for a wander round to explore the town, found a good viewpoint looking out across the lake, St Moritzersee. The Hotel Waldhaus am See in these shots looks a nice place to stay, but judging by the silly prices of goods in the shops in the town, I hate to think how much it would cost to stay there! Wink

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

A stunning view so very well observed, composed exposed and captured. Whilst at the same time your processing now a familiar trait adds to the appeal Trevor.

Like the shot, but maybe if you had not given the water the HDR, it may have even better. It just detracts from the image, which I like a lot.

What a wonderful place to stay, Trev, but I can imagine the prices would be way out of the everyday peoples' reach. Two suberb images, your processing is second to none.

An undoubtedly gorgeous place. The hotel even looks expensive!
I am curious about the horizontal lines in places on the mountain. They are too regular to be natural, so I am assuming they are man made. They looks like a type of terracing, but it seems a strange place for a farm.

It certainly does look a wonderful place to stay, Trev.

You name dropper 'Photomatix Pro 5' GrinGrinGrin

This is a spectacular view, you have brought out detail texture, and colour giving the image a very tactile quality.

Silly prices, usually equal no PAYE taxation so some one has to pay for the services, this is where you keep your hands in your pocket and shop with your eyes only.

Just because they have some trees and a bit rockery in their back garden Trev,
is no excuse for sky high prices !!
Fine shots.

Idyllic. I go with the broader picture of V1, for that lovely curve of shoreline on the left.

The 'horizontal lines' on the mountainside, Joline, are barriers to help protect the buildings below in cases of avalanches occurring, by slowing down or stopping the snow.
