View from the Drawing Room

By DicksPics
Today's images were taken last week whilst visiting Quarry Bank Mill, a National Trust property at Styal, Cheshire.

The lead image and V1 show the River Bollin, which flows through the gardens of Quarry Bank House(V2) - home of the mill owners Samuel and Hannah Greg.

Many thanks for all votes and comments on my 'City of Stoke on Trent' upload; I am especially grateful to Jenn, Jeff, Billy, Bob, Nezih and Trev for their much appreciated user Awards.Smile

I hope you week is going well.

Looks a wonderful place to visit, Richard Smile A fine set, but like Carol, have to go for V1 as my fave, showing part of the interior too (love those drapes!) and perfectly exposed for both inside and outside Smile

Nice set Richard, like how you've used the window to frame the scene in the main image.

Lovely set of images from NT property and I do like how you have managed to frame the landscape in the lead shot.
And what a delightful room that is judging by this corner, and with, of course, a view to die for.

The first version is my favourite, showing the inside and the wonderful view from the window, which is more like a picture on the wall.

All very nicely captured Richard.
I'll have to put this place on the to do list especially as it's not that far away.
I guess the radiator in V1 is a later addition Smile
