Vineyard.

By Carlkuntze
Skopje, Macedonia, Yugoslavia. 1986.

I hitched a ride to a vineyard some distance from town. I was too late
for the harvest. Not a single grape was visible on the vines. I faced the problem of going back to the city from a less traveled region. These grape-pickers gave me a ride. I was so disappointed, I didn't notice I got the shot I needed until I reviewed my "rejects" file. They didn't speak a word of English, but seemed appreciative I was recording their culture.

A lovely character study but a shame the horse lost his front feet.
