Vital Spark

By cabbie
Good morning all. I'm back finally got my camera dusted down and my appetite for photography has returned.

First of all a big thank you to all who have voted and commented on my last photo many moons ago they mean a lot.

This latest offering was taken on a well over due recent jaunt around the Western Highlands of Scotland at Inveraray. It made me think of how the UK fishing fleet has been totally destroyed and like many other things not for the better.

Hope everyone is ok and as usual all comments welcome. Have a good week end the weather is set to improve

A place and a image I know very well. The beauty of the place just screams artwork and was also used in Sky Arts landscape of the year programme. Sorry still spell it the old way...

Great job and I hope you had a wonderful time.

What a lovely scene. I like the light vignette as it suggests bright sunshine and frames the boat nicely. Smile

Very beautiful Bob, I like the processing which has given it an almost "watercolour" feeling. Superb!

Love it.

There is something so delightfully traditional about this that I thought a sepia toned version would work, hence my mod.

The colour version and the sepia mod both work so well to show off this delightful scene. Good to see you back in the fold. Grin

I can't recall how often I have used this old puffer as a subject, both here at Inveraray and also on a visit to the Clyde back in 2009.
Like your presentation here.

Its so good to see you posting again Bob, with a lovely view of the Vital Spark, was she Parry Handy in the TV series many years ago?

A wistful image, Bob. We are seeing the same thing here on the Chesapeake, with the virtual loss of the skipjack fleet.
