Volcanic Sunset

By Emu72
Hi Guys,

Taken last week at Devils Dyke, this shot is looking west towards the villages of Fulking & Edburton, with Truliegh hill in the distance. A unique shot as there was low lying mist over the villages along with a volcanic ash cloud which meant that the actual sunset happened about 30mins before it should have done!!
F/16 1/8th sec, iso 200, ND2

Thanks for looking!
Regards Tim

This is a smashing shot my only issue is the slight competition between the interesting fg shapes of the stile and the distant sunset - there are almost two images here but good and both demanding to be viewed. Difficult to know how to join them up but I wonder if you had lowered the pov you might have created a more joined up image (don't get me wrong I still really like this)

Very best wishes

Robert

Marked as constructive Rob, as I do agree Wink

My issue was the arrival at location 20mins after 3 other photographers, and lost out on the best stile location (3 next to each other here).

Thanks for the feedback... My main issue is infact colour replication as this is the 2nd upload since going fully colour managed, and as you can imagine, most images now need re-processing ;-(

Thanks also to Steve, Mark & Tony!!
