Volleyball in Brighton

By Trogdor
This is another from the day trip to Brighton. Brighton seems to be going for a 'Venice Beach, CA' feel with several large sand pits for people to play volleyball and such between the beach (all pebbles for those who have not been there) and the shops that make up the sea front. More luck than judgement in this shot. It's a shame I cut off his right hand but this was the best of the few shots I took. RAW capture at 1/250, F5.6 using 100 ASA/ISO at 133mm.

Tis a good shot to be sure.... The fella is in sharp focus save for his hand, but i find that gives him good connection with the motion in the ball.....
Well taken.

I have found that composing the picture with the camera slightly larger than it needs to be and then cropping in avoids losing his hand syndrome,,, but thats just me.

Good point - I felt very hurried while taking these and did not pay as much attention to composition as I should have. Was trying to get something sharp! Thanks for commenting.
