Good afternoon.
Well where do i start. There is so much to say about this aircraft.
Having waited on a rain soaked RAF Waddington most of the day.The sun did come out.And XH558 made her maiden public display. And a site it was to behold.

I am in a lucky position being a part of the Lightning Preservation Group at Bruntingthorpe to see XH558 whenever i want. But to be at Waddington which was her home and mine many years ago was special for me.

This is about the best shot i could get given the conditions weather wise and the immense crowds she attracted.

I hope you like this one.

Great to see her back.
I last saw her at Leuchars.....taking off into zero visibility cloud....we had to take the commmentator's word for it that there was a message in the bomb bay saying "farewell" !

Fingers crossed for Leuchars this year.

great shot of am aircraft that brings back memories of schooldays at the Lincolnshire Show when one flew over the showground in the late fifties on one it maiden flights. I seem to remember the announcement at the time saying so sorry to go on
