This is a nice scene and I particularly like the rich reflections of the sky in the smooth river surface. The exposure looks good, everything's sharp and the camera's straight so all the technical boxes are ticked. The only thing I'd say against the photo is that, while the course of the river leads the eye nicely through the frame, the composition lacks any real focal point for the eye to rest on. Something like a boat heading into the frame or a strategically-placed swan would lift this to the next level. In effect, you have a nicely designed theatrical set, here, but it needs the play to start to bring it to life.

Thanks for posting the EXIF information -- it's always nice to know what we're dealing with. Smile For future reference, the X- and Y-resolution, resolution unit and EXIF version aren't likely to be useful to anyone so there's no need to make an effort to post those ones.

A very attractive scene, Rob, with V 1 being my preferred version. Interesting to read Dave's comments re a focal point.

Two excellent, colorful, & artfully-composed scenic pictures, Rob. I do slightly favor the v1 version. Stay well, & have a great Weekend.

Many thanks for all comments. I felt that the image was lacking something and I think Dave has highlighted the problem.

Version 1 is definitely my favourite too..beautiful colours and well reflected in the water as I know that river can look very sludge like at times ! SmileI really like the inclusion of the building and wall on the left hand side..maybe a view that showed the full length of the river might have helped..I feel as though I want to walk along and view around the bend. Great shot though !
