Wainman's Pinnacle

By YorkshireSam
Wainman's Pinnacle.

The monument which stands on Earls Crag overlooking Cowling in North Yorkshire was built in 1816 by wealthy local landowner Richard Wainman in order to celebrate the victory at Waterloo and more sombrely the death of his son in the Napoleonic wars.

A beautiful panorama, yet so deserving of support because you presented it in a most pleasing manner. Wow!! TG

Just off the Pennine Way. A lovely perspective looking down past the monument into the valley. A well thought out composition with lovely dappled light and shade from the cloud cover.

The light makes a good effect on the land nicely captured and presented.
