Waiting .......

.....very patiently.

Does anyone know what sort of bird this is, I thought it was a type of small heron but now I am not sure.

Taken from a small dugout canoe on the backwaters of Kerala India.

Without reading the above comments I wouldnt have had a clue what it is. But it is a superb shot and I have to agree that it does have a kinda 3d effect.
