This seemed confused, and even though there's loads to look at I didn't really like it.

Then I did.

That old sheet of perspex works well for you here, Malc'.
A fabulous result.

Does the shoddy, dirty, grimy perspex add to or detract from the mood, I wonder? Most likely it defines it, I suspect.
A social (societal) comment in a single frame.

I do like that gap in the white stripe at the back of her head - looks as if a lock of her hair is trapped.

It is confusing but it does make the viewer look hard and long, then, all becomes clear.

Shoddy bus stop maybe but not a shoddy image oh no. An image of daily life in our shoddy world run by very shoddy politicians in a very shoddy manner, Malc 😶 ⭐

Confusing at first but after perusal an excellent take on the street scene theme. The real world is often confusing unclear and a bit grubby, a good summary in one image.

Sitting wondering if the bus is every going to arrive (then two comes along?) Good opportunist image, which we normally pass-by without another look. Top marks for seeing it, Malc.

That bit of hair hanging out pulled me in. And I wandered around in there. Interesting image Malc. I may come back to this.

I love Saul Leiter's painterly imagery, just sublime... I have his book, Early Colour..

The film about him, "In No Great Hurry" is beautiful.

You probably know these already..!

Yes, I have seen his work - though his name never crossed my mind when I looked at my own image - I am flattered by the comparison.

Ah ha..! Unsurprisingly I love this... This bus stop plexiglass needs more grime and scratches though.. 👀😂😆👀

Perhaps we can look forward to more of these bus stop shelter urban musings from you...??!!

I can honestly say it was your bus shelter images that allowed me to see the possibilities when I saw this shelter - so thank you very much for the inspiration!Smile

Well I feel very honoured, thank you so much...

It's definitely worth exploring the creative potential further and experimenting with different focal lengths.. I sometimes use a 90mm macro / short telephoto to get some compression between the different elements.

After a at least a few months of creating my bus stop shelter plexiglass images, I discovered the work of Saul Leiter.. That made me feel validated and further inspired..

Oh dear. I appear to have missed the bus. I had no idea you were taking my picture. The horizontal stripes of my jumper match those on the bus shelter. What a harmonious coincidence.
Humph is hoping that Samantha will pop out later and polish his trumpet. You may wish to whip out the Brasso and put a shine on this gong. 🏆
