Another image from my day at Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow.

Around the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow Imperial War musuem ( IWM ) grounds there were many people in period dress, and this chap was one of them.
I believe he is a flight sergant and if any one can comment on his correct rank please leave it in the comments below.

According to Wikipaedia
The prototype, created in 1936 and known as "Anti-Glare", had plastic frames and green lenses that could cut out the glare without obscuring vision. Impact-resistant lenses were added in 1938. The sunglasses were redesigned with a metal frame the following year and patented as the Ray-Ban Aviator
Whether an RAF pilot would have had a pair at that time is questionable
