Wallasey in Winter

By Andrew_Hurley
Another shot from the Wonderful White Wallasey Winter Wonderland series. This is Central Park, Wallasey taken 5 January 2010. Central Park usually looks a lot greener than this. It is quite rare for Wallasey to receive snow as it is so close to the coast. This is actually one of the bowling greens, I don't think they played any crown green bowls that day, or should that be crown white bowls! ha ha!

All comments and votes, very welcome indeed.

Have a great evening.

Hey Andrew

Please forgive me here, Im colour blind. The snow doesnt look white it looks like either a blue or green tinge to me.

Am I wrong?

I love the idea of a snow image in summer, so well done, ha ha

Hi Anthony,

Yeah, me colourblind too, I was playing around with the hues and other effects to try an make it look a little different, so you are probably right about the colour cast.

Cheers for the comments.

Love the modification, didn't realise the colour cast was so bad! Must try harder!

HI Andrew - does make me smile to see such a cold, cold image whilst I am sitting here too hot to mention!

This one is a bit too blue - it just looks freezing! A vote for the smile though

Thanks Laurel, Sue, and Chen. Love the modification.

I use 2 PCs (and therefore 2 monitors), so it looked fine on 1 PC, but did look a little blue on the other (must get my monitors calibrated some day!). Blue is a cold colour all the same, but maybe too blue for some people's tastes!
