Good Day to you all at ePz.

Thank you all so very much for taking the time out to view, comment and vote on my images of the beautiful Blue Tits as they gathered food for their ever growing youngsters. A further mention goes to: Ted447 (Ted), Williamsloan (Billy), CarolAnnLauderdale (Carol), Pentaxpatty (Patricia) and Jocelia for their User Awards.

I could not resist spending a little longer in the garden yesterday watching the Blue Tits coming and going as they constantly go in search for food for their offspring.

Here is a set capturing them before they enter the birdbox. Hope you like..

I hope that you all have a great day whatever you may be doing.

Regards as always NathanGrinGrinGrin

Beautiful. The Mountain Bluebirds have returned to the nest boxes on the cattle ranch fence posts to the west of here, about a 25 minute drive. I have been spending time there, mainly to let them become accustomed to my presence so I can get some shots later as they feed their young. I give them lots of room.

Nice series Nathan. And good idea of protecting the nest entry with metal. This way both squirrels and some other feathery predators cannot reach it.

Though I've read that some woodpeckers can be very persistent and get inside from other direction. That's why this action comes into play: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1020387/Armour-plated-nesting-box-saves-family-blue-tits-hungry-woodpecker.html

A beautifully observed set of images Nathan and the one thing nobody mentioned
is having the time to enjoy the comings and goings - it's our own comings and goings which prevent
us having time to stop and look.

Great to see Nathan, the parent are so busy feeding the young, hopefully a good brood will be raised. A great set of images. This is the first year that at least one of the 3 nest boxes that we have around the garden is not occupiedSadSad

Wonderful set of shots Nathan, i had them nesting in a box last year in my garden. I have made about 10 nest boxes, and put them up in various places in the woods, different types some open fronted, some with a larger hole for Great tits etc. I had a look round last week and there was 5 boxes left, the others had been stolen. I painted them in colours to match the woodland to help disguise them a bit, i fixed them to trees with ring nail's, which are very difficult to get out. Anyway there's 2 family of Blue Tits in the other boxes so it wasn't a complete failure. This winter i will make some more
