War of the Worlds?

By cats_123
Good morning Epzers 😁.. turning colder, they've even got the gritters out in some areas!!!

The mighty beast of a Turbine next to Bangor's recycling centre... wouldn't want to live next to one if these... even at slow pace they cause a lot of noise and turbulence.

Have a great day and stay safe 😁

They seem to be getting bigger all the time. I think I prefer the alternative version, with all the trees framing it.

I love 'em! I was watching a very interesting program on BBC2 last week called 'Powering Britain', part of a series, and that week it was about these wind turbines, how they're made and maintained and what they can supply. It featured a wind farm out in the North Sea called 'Hornsea One', which has 174 turbines standing 190 metres high (1 times the height of Blackpool Tower) each churning out 7 megawatts of power. It was said that just one complete turn of the blades generated enough power to supply one house for a whole day! It's also the world's largest offshore wind farm. Truly amazing 👍
Love your captures here Jeff, the version being my fave, framed by the trees 😃

You'll have to blow pretty hard to get that to work, Jeff.

I like how the turbine divides the canvas---each section has its own image!
