Warband Division at Stonehenge, Winter Solstice 2012

By UrbaneMagick

The "War Band" is the political division of the Druidic order in Britain.
Led by King Arthur ( who you will have seen interviewed on television yesterday at Stonehenge), they have battled & continue to battle with English Heritage etc to be given the right to worship within the stones (which they won & now the country has open ,free access on Solstice days.
They are now fighting to have the remains of the ancient britains that now resaide in various universities reinterred at Stonehenges many barrows where they were taken from.

Many more photos to be put up from this event over the next week.

Thankyou for looking & have a great weekend,

Gareth

Thankyou folks.
had a fantastic morning there & a couple of members of the war band were kind enough to let us into their tent until we had to go back & crash out in the car til the Solstice morning.
Anyone who ever has the opportunity to go to Stonehenge, don;t go on any normal day,. as you pay & don;t even get to go within the stones..go on a Solstice when you have free access & can go whereever you like (thanks ot Arthur).

Another great candid shot Gareth well taken - they look like they are really enjoying in themselves. Wishing you and yours a super Christmas Day and a Great New Year ... Carol Grin

I remember when you parked your car at the side of the road and walked around the stones to your hearts content.
