Wow that is bright!! Like the angle and the crop, though I would like to see more definition on the nose. Like I know about modelling though!!

Great shot - love the angle and eye detail - immediately recognisable as one of yours. Shame about the nose . . .

Must say KB, this doesn't work for me purely because of the nose (or lack of it).

The rest of it is great. The 2 softboxes have pushed it to the limit.
11 Oct 2005 10:24AM
I can see her nostrils, has it disappeared on all your screens then? Thanks for the feedback folks. K.

I can see the nostrils too but not very clearly on my lcd screen.
11 Oct 2005 10:33AM
hmm, something's disappeared in the upload then, OK own up who nicked it! ;-0

That is very good indeed, K. Smile

What's the technical detial on this shot?
11 Oct 2005 12:05PM
ISO200 F8 1/60 F/L 38mm. Did a curves adjustment and a few filters added, also used the sponge and burn brushes to enhance the eyes and bit then used the sharpen tool selectively to add a bit of spark. Thanks all for feedback and the mods, now must go and find that nose.

Stunning eyes, but let down by the lack of detail around the nose.

Hmm, sorry, not for me this one. Too much of a high key effect. It makes the model look unreal.

I would agree with Ian - it's a bit unreal, but I think that's why it works (each to his/her own, obviously). Looks almost android-like - or 'ice-queen' like she's been in the freezer for an hour or two. Perhaps that's what 'warning' refers too - don't lean too far over for your fish-fingers or this is what'll happen Wink

Beautiful model - like the angle of the face. The eyes and lips are stunning and very cold. There is some lack of definition in the nose on my screen - which is a tiny bit disturbing, although it adds to the 'other-worldliness' of it.

Just thinking out loud.....Smile

I love it K, the high key works really well, and combined with the eye make, well for me it all adds up to a superb piece of work! Well done mate!

Hi K this is absolutely stunning and in my humble little opinion has to be the best photo you have taken to the best of my knowledge. There is a cool calmness about it yet underneath the veneer there is a slight uneasiness which makes it both utterly absorbing and visually stunning. The eyes in particular are just ...well beautiful a door to the sole ! (you'll know what I mean tomorrow with my next upload).
I would suspect that over time this could be in the 3 figure click zone and it would deserve every last one of them.
Thanks for been there

Luv Victor x

I'll have to see this one on my home monitor. This one at work has too much contrast and I can't do much about it. I can't see her nose! But I'm sure it's there....
