Washington State Flower

Washington designated the coast rhododendron as the official state flower on February 10, 1893 and you can see why. This sample was in the grounds of Belsay Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland NE20 0DX

The Castle tower has spectacular views of the surrounding countrysideand Belsay Hall itself is a Classical Greek Revival villa.
