Wasp Orchid

By livinglevels
Wasp Orchid (Ophrys apifera var. trolii) photographed on Monday evening on Collard Hill.

There are now several plants in flower as well as some Bee Orchids.

Still not seen any Large Blues this year and frustratingly missed the Elephant Hawk Moth seen earlier!!!

Been down to Collard today and had to admit defeat, we didn't see a single Large Blue????.......Moved on to the Levels afterwards and had as bad a time there as well, we put it down to the cold temperatures last night, all very strange!.......Still I've no doubt we'll be down for another bash before the season is over.

This is a lovely find and well shot as usual.....
