I think I have seen these in books but never seen the upper side. I thought it was some variiation of White Admiral when I saw this initially!

I have seen skippers do the wing flashing thing - to ward off photographers I think!

This is timed to perfection to get the wings out flat.

Another one to target next year!

Mine went on first! You did damned well to get those opened wings. I've been trying all week without even a half chance. As for lavender, what lavender? It's all garrigue and vines around here, but not without its charm Wink
