Watching all directions

By Kaxxie
Morning everyone

This was taken in Morecambe last August.....with my iPhone. 🤦🏼‍♀️ These cormorant statues are so majestically placed at the start of the stone jetty.

Thank you all for your votes and comments on yesterday’s image, ‘Keeping Watch’ and to youmightlikethis for your precious UA. I really appreciate you all.

Take care and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend.

Karen

I'm not usually taken by modern sculpture but I do like this. Of course I have always found comporants beautiful birds, especially when drying their wings.

Good capture of sculpture, Karen, with an ideal setting for it at the seaside. The birds have all bases covered, looking in all directions!

In yesterday's sunset I didn't realize they were statues. Obvious in the full light of day - no white smears down the rocks!

You’ve made me laugh Dora. I thought I’d said they were statues. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 xx

In Peru, I had a tour out to the Ballestas Islands which are just a bunch of huge rocks but they are a bird sanctuary. Those rocks looked like snow capped mountains. Once a year people are allowed to go there to harvest the guano - known locally as white gold.
