Hello, Paul
A wonderful natural close up you've got here... the water lily is overexposed, but the effect it creates is quite ok, however, i thought i'd give it a try to recover some detail or colour. I also wondered if a mono version hadn't worked too.
These are personal variations, but what i dare to suggest however is a different crop. i found there was too much space allowed to the leaf at the bottom so i straightened the image a little to keep similar composition lines and then cropped it a little..
I also tried some soft tones, i don't know if any of the mods is ok with you, but, anyway, these would be my suggestions.
However, this is a really good shot and pleasant to watch.
Wishing you all the best

Hi Paul,

The composition here is basically sound, although you should crop off the half-a-lily-leaf at the top as it's doing nothing other than being a distraction, and you could crop off part of the leaf at the bottom too. Personally I wouldn't touch the crop on the left. I would also like to have seen a shot from a higher angle to get a more complete flower reflection.

Technically though, the petals are overexposed, leaving the highlights completely blown with no detail recorded. You really HAVE to nail the exposure on flowers like this, after all, they aren't going anywhere! Also the image needs a clockwise rotation of around 5.5degrees so that the petals are vertically above their reflections.
