Water Rail

By Ade_Osman
Another image of an elusive Water Rail.....Lot's of problems with the light when taking this and had to shoot it using ISO1600, so it was very noisy and grainy, I've tried to tidy that up somewhat but other than this shot is pretty much as it came out the camera.....
Thanks for looking, off buying new curtains this morning with wifey, so I may not be back for some time, knowing how long it can take for her to make her mind up?.....Women eh! But once I've got this out the way, watch out world. I've carried out all my decorating duties for this year and I'm now free to come and go as I please........And I seriously intending racking up some mileage in the car!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrin

I was going to ask what that orange 'blob' was to the right of the rail's head, but looking closer I think it may be a robin? Lovely capture, Ade. Carol

A fine shot of this elusive bird, if this one was taken at Slimbridge it must be the fella that was walking about on the ice on the way to the Holden Tower in the reedbed next to those feeders. He certainly gave Gary the runaround last Monday afternoon, he spent a good half an hour or more chasing after him trying to get him on camera all to no avail!

I am jealous, only because you have completed your decorating duties and I still have mine to do, at least our curtains were changed last year so there's no shopping for me.
Great shot of this Water Rail.
Not sure the software you use for noise reduction, but have you tried Noise Ninja, its a plugin for PS.

If they were noisy they were probably shouting a warning when they spotted you Smile
a fine shot Ade, no chance to even dream of waterbirds round here!
BTW I have acquired Topaz' DeNoise now and it is really good, I find it easier to fine tune than ninja. But then that can depend on the noise you camera produces.

I see that Tomcat is persisting with his wisecracks, I think he will soon be facing his curtain call. He won't be laughing when that hosepipe ban comes into force in Northants!!!Wink
