Watery Cauldron

By jeanie
It was very wet, very cold, very windy and the rain would not stop.. That bit of blue ahead of me was a tease!

I am not sure about this and maybe uploading when I am tired is a bad idea.... but I loved the power of all the water thundering over the falls.

My idea is that my next upload will be exactly the same waterfall, a few weeks later, with a lot less water cascading along....

Oh well - time will tell if I was right to upload or not...

1 sec @ F/22, iso 100, 17mm, no nd as it was dull enough, 121m grad used. carrier bag over camera!
I was an absolute drowned rat after taking this.... not a pretty sight..

LOL - You're tired because of your first time in a pub last night. You'll learn! This was a difficult one to get because you must have been pointing right into the spray and light at the same time. You did capture the violent feel of what it was like there. And the water action is tumultuous!

Nice shot! You've caught the power in the water very well. I like the detail in the foreground and the lighting on the hills too. Smile

Thanks everybody. I was shattered last night and went to bed early to get up early...I appreciate your comments..I really was not sure about this last night.

Patrick - you are so right, its just for that reason that I was sooo tired yesterday.....not used to all that partying LOL

Stevie - every day is a birthday : ) last year's lasted a whole 12 months, much to the dismay and cost of the hubby!!

Have a good day

Great image, I like the effect you have created with the water by slowing the shutter speed against the cold bleak rock formation.
