Wax Lyrical

Good day to you all at ePz

Firstly thank you all for all your most appreciated and welcomed comments and votes following yesterdays upload. A further mention going to Sparrowhawk(Steve), RonnieAG (Ronnie) and Nigeve1 (Nigel) for their precious User Awards.

Todays set was generated as part of an experiment with coloured was crayons and Julie hairdryer. The crayons were glue to an A4 canvas then heat was applied. During the process took a series of photographs and the results were rather spectacular. I decided to use F/2.8 simply because I wanted to isolate blocks of colour.

Another great image and I agree the 2.8 really does isolate the center crayon. Congratulations on an innovative use of I'm guessing the other half's hair drier. Tongue

An interesting (if messy) idea. I think V3 is my favourite because the melt is further advanced and the blocks of colour are merging.

Pretty unique idea and result! the blocks of colour are eyecatching and without your explanation would require a fair amount of thought by the viewer to interpret, prolonging viewing time. The view with the crayons horizontal makes them look like effluent pipes from a chemical factory; wonderful stuff!
