Waxwings??

By Daisymaye
Just curious if these are waxwings. I see all the bird photographers who upload pics of these beautiful birds. Anyway.....I was out walking Daisy, and happened upon a tree full of these birds. Of course, my dog wanted at them, so I couldn't get very close. She scared most of them away. I tried to quickly take her home and go back to the tree but they were all gone. I was so dissapointed! Oh I was in Pahrump, Nevada.

What a treat it must have been seeing these wonderful little birds in such numbers! V1 for me though V2 does show up their wonderful plumage rather well.

One of the few bird species that I do know Sandy, but they've already been identified. We used to have them like this around here, but not this past years, whatever happened they suddenly stopped coming, you got a couple of very good shots here!

I get the very same problem with Patch, always way ahead and scaring any photo opporunities away, I have never seen one of these without a tree full. - gary

Beautiful capture of these lovely bird who always flock together. We had a flight of them here a few weeks ago (Shipley UK) well inland of their normal range, but they flew off before I could get my camera out.

'Birds of a feather,...stay in the Tree, together,' I would guess, Sandy. Two excellent captures of these 'handsome avian friends.' Hope that your Weekend has been pleasant.
