Excellent set of images and so many photographers have trouble dealing with people.
Two tips I find helps is just say hello and if they mind you taking a picture, they can only say no.
Second find a crowded area, stand still right in the middle while making yourself bold and wait for people to come to you. Given you were there first they never think it's them you want to photograph. You do get the odd look sometimes but they are wonderiing what your doing.
