They are very beautiful flowers-- ---wondering about their variety--will they grow in Pennsylvania?

This is the Plumed Cockscomb, an annual flower. It grows best in warm, tropical environments. Occasionally used as ingredient in soap. In China and India, it is considered a pesky weed that reduces biodiversity. Edith Sitwell wrote a poem allegedly about this flower:
Shadows (curtseying hens and cocks)
Pecking in the attic gloom
Tried to smother his tail-plume...
Till a cockscomb candle-flame
Crowing loudly, died: Dawn came.

I didn't say it was a quality poem.
