Middle age is when you're sitting at home on a Saturday night and the telephone rings and you hope it isn't for you..

I prefer the fresh-coloured version - lovely countryside Bill.

'when the eager passions of youth are cooled' - must stay I wouldn't mind
reliving some of that period again!!!
Lovely scene Bill. I agree having a wonderful time middle aged. Not going to work is the best thing and indulging your interests. Debs

Nice rural scene. Mono for me , just. The sky in the colour version doesn't quite work for me, sometimes I find a little desaturaturion of the blue and cyan can give a more pleasing sky-blue. In the mono I'd have given a little more definition and contrast to the mid-tones to bring out the texture of the stone in barn and wall, (maybe before conversion to b&w), then darkened or lightened the green grass to give a better tonal separation from the stonework, finally the tiniest hint of sepia toning to warm the image.

Mono for me as shadows and light on the stone walls come to life so much more . I Have never seen a stone wall I did not want to photograph .
Stellar capture and composition Bill
Cheers Walt
