We have lift off ................

By morpheus1955
A rather late upload from me todaySad Another of the knights this time in action so to speak Smile In this shot you can see the lance breaking (well just lol ) The lances they use have the end section made of some sort of light wood that breaks fairly easily, especially when the horse is going at the gallop Smile These end pieces are replaceable and have some sort of stop on the very end to prevent them doing any major damage to the rider or horse, anyway hope you like this.

Off to the steam rally tomorrow, hopefully the weather will be kind and I'll manage to get so reasonable photos :Wink

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugh

A well captured action shot, Hugh, and you also handled the bright sunshine expertly. I like the composition, too, with the horse and rider over to the left. Pity about the background people, but you have them quite nicely blurred.
Knight in shining armour sums this up.. Very well controlled & sharp image ..excellent

Very well captured. I guess that back in the day they didn't have the same health and safety limiters! That would have been a whole different photo!
