Wedding Venue

By lifesnapper
Hi all, and a very BIG thanks for all your kind comments and votes on my 'Culture Mix' and espesially to Bill (woolybill) for the UA.
Tonight something completely different again. This is the lovely Rayleigh Windmill, right in the middle of Raleigh Town Essex. Among other things, it is a very nice Wedding venue, which my Daughter Yvette is planning on making use of for Her third, and hopefully last Wedding Smile She moved to Rayleigh earlier this Year and loves it there, and I have to say, it really is a nice Town with plenty of places around to visit.
Well, it's the rundown to the Weekend, and I wish you all a very nice one.

All the best to all,

John Smile

Excellent set of images John. Set against a wonderful sky. Difficult to choose between them. Perhaps V1 for me

Difficult choice as I like the exaggerated angle in V 1 as well as the whole 'caboudle' in V 3.
Did you use a polariser for the first two?
Ronnie.

Can't decide between V1 and V2 - angle plus sky. I like the simplicity of V1 but the foliage adds balance in V2.
Our daughter is getting married next year, with what it's costing it had better be a once-and-for-all...

Ha ha, I can believe that Moira, but just think of the pic's you'll get Smile
And Ronnie, no Polariser, just the long end of the Telephoto and positioning of my good self Smile
And yes Iain, I'll no doubt be doing SOME pic's, but hopefully not the official ones, I hate doing that, got to do it for some Friends next Year Sad

I'm going for V2, John. For the foliage, I think. But the entire set is very good: you have experimented with different angles and crops - I expect you took more pics than these, too - and the selection is full of interest.
Maybe what interests me most is the colour: I'm a sucker for those rich, variegated brick, they remind me of the very best of York for example.

Following viewing here, obviously the Lifesnapper has some good mates up in heaven because they sent him down some excellent lighting for this series.

Third time lucky, eh?
How lovely to be married in a windmill.
I like all 3 versions but V3 held my attention the most.

What a lovely venue! I do like the comp in V2 John and that sky is super again the sharp lines of the sails.

As Dave says - you've got some super light on the windmill John. Difficult to choose between these three super images - but probably v2 is my favourite. Fingers crossed for a long and happy marriage for your daughter too!!! Smile
