Another lovely setup. However, my laptop screen is a bit on the bright side which is showing up some areas, especially round the garlic stalks, that are lighter in tone to the rest of the b/g. Maybe if you increase the brightness on your picture you will see what I mean? I know you won't mind my pointing it out??
I once entered a photo into a club competition which looked great on my pc, but when projected in front of the assembled crowd(
), was covered in lines and streaks where I had not darkened the background uniformly. I wanted the ground to open up

Thanks Fiona, I took the image back into Photoshop, ramped up the levels until I was almost blinded and...there they were !! Your monitor must be very bright but well spotted. I loaded a version for you, please check it out and let me know.

If it works for you Fiona then tbh leave as is. I think brightness is to individual taste.
Moira, it's been a while since I did anything with a black bg so my fault for not checking....I used to,I forgot, very remiss of me hangs head in shame
