Remember me??? I've been on my Jollies where I enjoyed wall to wall sunshine. Despite rumours that the UK enjoyed some sunshine while I was away, thought I would share the blue sky with you.
I spent 10 days in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca, where temperatures started at a lovely 22C and increased steadily on a daily basis. Perhaps a little cool for our South African friends, but for this sun starved Brit it was absolute heaven.
I did hope to get plenty of opportunity for photographs, sadly didn't get as many as I had hoped. It would appear that I have an ulcer and it reared it's ugly head while I was away. However, it did not prevent my enjoyment, just restricted my movements a little, so apologies for the low quality of some of my future uploads.
Almost did not get any photographs, some idiot left her camera in the car as the meet and greet guy drove off with it, but alas, it was retrieved, leaving us literally minutes to check in before it closed.
These are the waters of Santa Ponsa Bay. I was also able to visit Soller, which is beautiful. In order to get there travelled on a wooden train, which was originally steam powered but has since been electrified. Apparently, the rolling stock was provided by the British............ the non Brits were a little nervous about its reliability, but we knew we'd get there.
The finale was SonAmar, a spectacular show embracing song and dance from all cultures. It wasn't cheap but it was very good value for money.............. Coach travel, three course meal and wine provided. Sadly, no photographs, we were advised that photography was not allowed, but others were taking plenty of picture, a missed opportunity. If you get to that part of the world, would definitely recommend SonAmar.
Sadly, had to return home; it's very cool, intermittent sunshine with sufficient rain to prevent me from doing the holiday washing................ every cloud has a silver lining
I have so many of your fantastic pictures to catch up with and I look forward to doing so.
Best wishes
Tish
