Welcoming Party

By BenF
Well, some of you probably remember similar pictures from about a year ago, because this is the time of my yearly fishing trip to Alaska with my dad.

This was taken at Brooks Falls in Brooks Camp Alaska. I really like how all three bears are so intent on that single fish.

And the fish is so obviously thinking, just like last year... Damn

Movement in the water, anticipation in the bears and the fish in mid air all go to make a cracking photo.

Out standing, amazing all them kinda words dont some up what a great image this is . The timming is brilliant to catch the fish
out of the water when the bears are moving down. They them selves look on a slipery slop so to pull it altogether into this one great pic. WOW. Lovely presentation as well. Denise x

Didn't have the pleasure of seeing the ones from last year, but this is NG-quality.
Expected the large version to be a disappointment, but on the contrary, it is even so much better.
Congrats and thank you for sharing this. As Mark said... remarkable and worthy of every prize in the book

I liked your previous image but this is truely a work of art. You really could not of got a better timed shot. Excellent detail on the bears, and really nice blue coolness to the picture. Presentation finishes off an already magnificent image.

Ben, this is one of the most amazing shots I've seen on ePz (or anywhere).
My wife and I have often talked about getting up to Alaska (from Long Beach, CA) and this picture clinches it -- we are on our way. -=Walter

It will definetly be a great trip. Just make sure you stop by Brooks Kamp (that's where most of my bear pictures are from). You'll probably be making a stop over in King Salmon too, which is where some of my other Alaska pictures are from. Just make sure you do your research and go when the Sockey are running. Anytime in the month of July should be good.

The Alaskan Penninsuala Highway is also pretty good for pictures.
