I loved the colours and light of this image, taken as my husband welds new panels into our classic car project - a Morris Minor.

Thank you for taking the time to view this image, any comments or critique welcomed.

Very nicely done, this is dynamic.

I think the intense white light at the centre tricked the camera into underexposing overall. Can I suggest lightening overall, then increasing contrast a wee bit? It would bring out the colours and give a better sense of depth. If you can enable modifications I'll have a go... (Click on the blue Options button to the left of your camera details, then on Edit Photo, open Options and tick the Modifications button.)

Thank you for your feedback Moira, I cannot enable the modifications button without upgrading my membership, but I will have a play with the image myself using your suggestions and post.

If you try this again, check out the exposure compensation function on your camera and try a plus setting. (I think it will be a button on the back of your camera marked +/-, but I'm not a Canon user).
I'd start with plus one stop, and then experiment...

Thanks Moira, I have uploaded two more versions to my profile page, I think I prefer the first of the two with exposure +1. This was just a grab shot but will remember in future to use the exposure compensation.
Thanks for your comments - appreciated.
