Part of the new revamped Blackpool seafront is the "comedy pavement" where you can spend a good hour or two reading catchphrases and one-liners from a myriad of comedy stars past and present. Thee are three examples..

Thanks for looking, all comments and critique welcome as always

The Comedy Carpet is a brilliant idea, and very well conceived; I've got a picture of me doing a 'Silly Walk' in front of the "Ministry of Silly Walks" area of text.

I suppose everyone has a favourite quote.

Cheers all, I'm delighted with the response, though I'm aware that the real artistry is in the carpet or pavement itself... I'm glad I've done it some justice. I must admit as an exiled Blackpudlian that after the years of waiting and disruption I'm extremely expressed with what they've done to Blackpool's front.

The second building in from the left was buit in 1977-ish when I was a student tram conductor, and it was accompanied by a monstrous cocnrete pedestrian bridge over the prom which now thankfully is not there to spoil this vista. We used to call out the tram stops and I'd say "Tower, central, Woolworth's, concrete monstrosity, plastic lego building..". Well, at least one of them is gone now..

Thanks for listening Wink Smile
