Well, hallo Darling ........

By teocali
........fancy meeting you here! An Atlantic Grey Seal Bull (Halichoerus grypus) wooing a young female at Donna Nook, Lincs last weekend. After giving birth, the females come into oestrus and are mated immediately for birth a year later. Development is on hold for approximately 3 months, the gestation period being over 9 months following that (think I have it right - if anybody knows better, please correct me Wink )
This is a full frame capture with no cropping, taken from 70.8m away and in harsh midday light.

Many thanks for your C&Cs on yesterdays upload and a special thank you to Brian (bricurtis) for the UA - really appreciated and highly valued, Brian Smile

I absolutely agree, Diane - it is such an evil, lecherous leer Grin. She looks pretty horrified too - just loved the expressions in this shot!

She looks a little unsure of him. Maybe he is a bit much for such a little girl. But maybe he is just a teddy bear. Great shot and love their expressions........Sandy
