It's interesting how one's photographic tastes change.......I used to take quite a lot of flower shots, but realise hat you really need to use a tripod to get the best detail. These were hand held in a hot, humid environment (not at my best in those conditions), but thought they were worthy of a show

Wellington's Botanical Garden 's Hothouse.
The botanical gardens can be reached by using the funicular to rise above the city. The gardens are perched on the side of a steep hill, but as you clamber down to the bottom you reach a refreshing rose garden and tea rooms with hothouse.
