Wells Cathedral

Hoping I've got a bit more detail by using HDR on the raw file without being able to tell its HDR.
Interested to hear anybodies opinion.

I think one of the finest architectural experiences in the country.

You have decent dynamic range Jason, so thats a success. You also have a very soft image, needing sharpening in various areas to different degrees.

One aspect with this method, rather than taking multiple tripod shots, is that you are working at a higher than ideal ISO. Its not shown here, but it looks like theres some noise, indication an ISO of more than 100.

What this method, and others like it does, is use the shadow/highlight tool approach and lift shadow, and reduce highlights; this wont work as well as the multiple shot, because each shot is optimal for that particular dynamic range its intended for, so compiling them is a no compromise result when done well.

But its a good effort.
