Wendles au naturel

By ChiliMan
This is No. 2 out of 4 in the Wendy series.

This is the original picture I took of her. We were sitting on the couch by the window chatting and I said, "Oh my GOD...that light...the colour of the wall behind you...stay there!!"

And she did.

Et voila.

Which, incidentally, does NOT do justice to her. But we were in the middle of a nice morning chat and I didn't wanna shatter it too much by getting all obsessed over getting a perfect shot. Photography is great, but moments are greater.

I tried a lot of things with this in terms of processing but I kept losing her glow.

So apart from the usual (slight) cropping, resizing and sharpening...I left it.

All comments and criticisms (to the photograph) welcome Smile

PS: With regards to the previous pic, I just took this pic (i.e., the original) and decreased brightness by 40% followed by increasing blue by 40%. C'est tout.

Thanks, Tony, banehawi and Jennn!!!

Tony, I really like this angle too. I asked for 3 angles - straight on, left and right. This was the best.

banehawi, I like this original one more too Smile I love the colours and always thought she's got the loveliest skin and features (you can't see her eyes well here but they're a mix of green and brown).

This is Wendy without any make-up or anything, by the way. When she's put on just a bit for a night out, holy smokes, every lens would want to be there. I exaggerate not Smile

Hi Andrew, you are an obsessive photographer you know! And we love you for it! - But you're right it does get a bit much sometimes (as my long-suffering wife would no doubt testify!) This is excellent and I didn't realise yesterdays upload was 'created' - still really liked it so it doesn't matter. Lovely portrait, simple and just right. - kind regards Robin

Thanks, everyone!!

Robin, thanks so much Smile And I AM an obsessive photographer, I reckon. Which can get in the way sometimes! Like when out with my bro and his family - I've missed out on conversation and company 'cos I was so focused on

By the way, I didn't wanna say in yesterday's portrait that it had been fiddled with 'cos I wanted today's plain one to appear fresh without anyone already wondering what it looked like from yesterday's. Wow, that sounded

Hi Andrew,I agree with Tony when he says the about the classy look, great eye contact too,a beautiful gentle smile and penny for her thoughts, she must be thinking what's going on about you running about getting your camera and how's it going to turn out.Stunningly captured and composed.Take care.AnnSmile
