Wentworth Woodhouse

By Jodyw17
A long shot, literally. Taken from probably approaching a mile away (the mausoleum) handheld on full optical zoom(10x) in what was poor afternoon light. Slightly improved lighting using Picasa. Its probably one of the few viewpoints around the estate, where the house is in full view from a distance.

After living in Barnsley for 22 years, this is my first visit to what is classed as Britainís biggest stately home, yet remains such a mystery even to local people.
Looking forward to many repeated visit's over the year to photograph in different seasons.

I will possibly upload a closer version in a few days.

A lovely looking building, i like your treatment and your framing, very nicely presented.
