West End

By Anthony
Ok, here is my first, of at least a few from the fantabulous NW Members Meeting this weekend.

I had a great time, again, so thanks to all who came, great to catch up with you all.

This is the view from the across the road from the front of the building. I shot all weekend in colour, but after a wee play last night, got this. A little dodging and burning in a few areas to get the final result.

Shot RAW, converted in Phase 1 then CS2. Ii then applied the Virtual Photographer plug in, used a mono setting, and hey presto.

Any and all comments are very welcome.

Thanks for dopping by.

Superb composition and converting to B&W really makes for a stunning shot.

Nice punchy mono landscape. The sky at the very top edge doesn't look quite right somehow, but the rest is fine.

Good conversion Anthony. If it's the shot I remember it would be good to see the original too, I seem to remember the light being superb on those trees.

I think this is an excellent rural image. The camera work and conversion are very well done. Quality composition.

thank you Ade.

I used the Mono, Hollywood Filter in VP, then increased the brightness a bit.

The clouds are wonderful - shame I had to work until 16.00 so we missed the good light.
