Wet and Wind

By wamp
Whilst we were up in Northumberland earlier in the year the weather was bad for a couple of days. On one of those days Zoe took Dan and Tom to the play area in Seahouses and I came down to Bamburgh to see what I could see, see, see, and all that I could see, see, see was some awesome waves rolling in.

To be honest I didn't want to get too close as the power of the waves was very mesmerizing and I didn't want to get caught out. There were two women up where the lay by is giving me some odd looks! lol

v2 is slightly more contrasty...

Thanks for looking, a night of catch up is in order once the boys are in bed! Smile

Cheers, Sean

Thanks all Smile Smile

I reckon v2 too, the added contrast just seems to 'lift' it slightly I think Smile

Sean, these are excellent - #2 for me - I like the crispness of the water, none of that moving, fuzzy stuff!

Lots of power in that see Sean - good timing and think version 2 works the best.

This mist be one of the most dramatic shots I've seen from this area, and taken from a very original POV. You've captured the breaking waves so well and the Castle stands out so clearly in silhouette against the sky. The waves, f/g tufts and the darker right hand bank all give a very good balance to the shot. Beautiful bit of photography.

Definitely V1 for me. V2 looks to heavy and a little unnatural to my eyes. V1 is already full of mood so for me doesn't need any further enhancement. You've really captured the power of the sea too Smile
