Wet Welsh Wales

By MrsS
Still plodding along with my images from the Workshop on Saturday in the Welsh Drizzle! (At least that's what Steve called it, apparently REAL Welsh rain comes in sideways and since this stuff was only on the diagonal, it doesn't count!)

They may not be to EPZ tastes for some folks (judging by the votes/views) but when I consider the conditions in which I took them, and the work needed to remove rainspots (Thanks Mr Eagle-Eyes Sutton for finding a few more!) and process the hdr, I'm really quite proud of them.

Anyway this is "Something" Falls (a bit further down from this shot in somewhat different conditions) and I like the water and the holly, see what you Smile

Just got in from work, feel rotten, so off for a well-earned cuppa, some tea and then most likely an early night.

Thanks for taking the time to look, all comments valued, as always

Cheers!
Fran x

BTW - - Can I for once, recommend LARGE Smile

Oh what a shame about the weather. You still managed to catch the flowing water nicely. I look forward to more. Whereabouts was your workshop held? Angi

You wouldn't get such beautful water shots if it didn't rain so much, now would you ;p

Great shot under difficult conditions.

I really like your composition Fran but I feel the colours just need a teeny 'lift',especially that little green bush at the side.A shame the light wasn't coming out to play...didn't you put your order in early ! Wink
Nicely exposed for the water movement & I like the textures here.

Know what you mean, Janet, and I am really struggling with sRGB conversion, boost the colours before saving for web, but it either goes bonkers or is too subdued! Sad

Thanks Hon Smile

I like this a lot Fran. I like the fact you went in close and forgot the sky. You obviously listened to Steve.

Yup, he is also right about the rain as well....

This is the sort of shot I love to take.
You have the water movement spot on for my personal taste and I love the detail in the rocks and the colour contrast between the green holly and orange bracken/grasses
