Wet wet wet...Bamburgh

By jeronius
Both me and camera got very wet as I had not spotted this wave coming in.

The more I look through the images I got Sunday morning, the more I realise I missed a great opportunity...This photography hobby can be mentally tough.

Cheers all, view large, its way more wetter.

Jerry

don't be hard on yourself Jerry. Nothing wrong with this image. It's an iconic view of Bamburgh but the sunlight catching that breaking wave and turning it gold makes it stand out.

Total fluke, as I said it soaked me poor camera. Rather peeved that I ended up using a Lee filter cloth to mop up!!
Cheers for comment and click to all.

I read a good article in a magazine last week by Andy Rouse called "more haste, fewer pics - don't be in a rush to delete your images after a shoot". He was saying "don't edit angry" and was referring to the post emotions after a shoot and the disappointment at reviewing images and making snap judgement about the quality etc. Now I don't delete my images but I do often disregard a whole set of images as rubbish until a few months later when I revisit them with a fresh and more objective eye. Some of my best and more valued images have come from deep in the hard drive or have been re-works of previously poorly processed efforts. I think in a month's time you'll think there is a half decent B&W from this image Wink Steve.

Fair point and one I will certainly take on board.

Very beautiful sets of recent images, Jerry. Please excuse lack of or brief comments - lots to catch up on since coming back from holiday! I have, though, looked at each and every one of your lovely images that I've missed whilst away.
TrevB Smile
P.S. Do hope the camera survived!
