What a load of bells!

By TrevBatWCC
A few years ago had a holiday to Pisa. Though everyone photographs the Torre di Pisa (Leaning Tower) from ground level, it's well worth climbing the 251 steps to the top and it does offer great all-round views from there, with a bird's eye view of the Duomo (Cathedral) alongside. Its total height is 56.67 metres (originally 60 metres) at its highest side. Leaning to the south, it's a weird feeling as you ascend and descend the internal spiral steps especially at the north and south facing sides, as your senses tell you it's vertical when it isn't! 😲
There are two levels at the top, these were taken at the lower level. At least photographing this structure you don't have to worry about getting the verticals vertical! 😁

Many thanks to Isabel (Chinga), Ian (youmightlikethis) and Ray (ThePixelator) for their User Awards on my previous upload, Laxey Puzzle , most appreciated 🏆👍

Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Nik Collection's plugins, and Photoshop Elements 2020.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 😃👍

It is strange to see the tilt - we photographers always want to straighten everything!

I wouldn't want to be there if they began ringing. Just imagine in a hurricane. Great set Trev.

Were you tempted to give the bells a good old ringing, Trev?Wink
As Moira says, good to have the reference point of the horizon included.
