From my bedroom window a few moments ago, I was shooting as the sun set and these amazing crepuscular rays developed, hoping for a gull to arrive and after about 35 frames there it was!
Ain't nature wonderful, I've boosted contrast slightly and adjusted black-point so that it just touched the left side of the curve and that was it
Nature is wonderful and i think this image is wonderful as well. The rays bouncing off the clouds are something else. Being a natural cynic when i first saw it I thought you had added the bird for effect. but to actually capture all of that with very little manipulation is fantastic. Well done.
woahhhh.....an awesome capture !!
An amazing capture Brian !! What a sight it must have been !!
thanks all (and particular thanks for my GEA)
Yes, its a shame but most people's first reaction these days tends to be "Did you put it in afterwards" but I guess it is understandable when so many do it as a matter of course.
I have the sequence of four shots as it tracked across my field of view but this one was the best compositionally
I decided I like this shot so much that I am using it as the background for my poster for our exhibition this year, put up as a version
Gorgeous shot !!!!
