What fairy pools?

By Sue_R
Another image of the practically nonexistent Fairy Pools at Glenbrittle on Skye last weekend.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload and special thanks to Ann (EAS) and Keith (Niknut) for your User Awards.

PS. Thought you might like this swimming in the Fairy Pools link that Roy (Kaybee) posted on one of Phil's photos of this location. Thanks Roy. I think it would be more a case of paddling than swimming at the moment Smile

Strange to see these pools so empty given the amount of rain we've had over the past year. I've heard of natural occurences where lakes and pools drain due to changes in the landscape when parts of the earth move. I saw a program on it last year on TV when some lakes in Florida just dried up, some of them refilled again once the cracks and holes filled up. Perhaps something like that has happened here!
