Nice to see a posting again from you, Colin. Very well captured shot of this flower, blues never the easiest colour to record, but this looks pretty accurate to me.......I do recognise the flower but could not have told you it's name.

Excellent detailed close up. I too believe it to be a cornflower but I'm sure someone will know for certain.

Looks like Centaurea montana to me. It is indeed a form of Cornflower and a perannial. Bees absolutely adore it.

Good to know you are both still around. Enjoy your time in Scotland. We seem to have some rather fine weather after a slightly more cloudy day yesterday!

We have these in the garden and as Anns says it's a type of cornflower. The bees and hover flies are always on the flowers and they come up year after year. Super shot of this one. Great to see you uploading! Don't work too hard!

Hi Colin. I to, have not been around a lot of late, but I thought it was about time I looked you up. Sorry to hear you have not been well. this is a smashing shot of a Cornflower, I have a similar one growing in my garden - not as pretty- and it spreads like mad so have to dig it out every few years cos they tend to take over.
