Award Shortlist

What's all this then?

By Ericsamson
Taken last summer along one of the trails at the Crich Tramway Museum in Derbyshire. The versions provide a little more context!

Many thanks for the generous responses to 'Clumber Lake' and to all who have awarded previous uploads. I think I've caught up with PM's but will check!

Take care all of you and I hope you are able to enjoy the fine weather as much as possible in these strange times. 🙂

All the very best, Graham ... Cyril ... Gussie ... Gwendoline (oh, that's only on a Tuesday now - Matron's getting quite strict about that sort of thing ... so is Racy Tracey ... 'mistere' knows what I mean!)

PS As I write this there is an advertisement on the right hand side of the screen which appears to offer advice on and, 'for ready money' no doubt, sell the '5 Best Herbs for a Weak Stream' and that's got me thinking. It's high time I cleaned the pond pump; the waterfall is looking a little 'dribbly.' 😉 😁

Is this the all-seeing eye of a certain MrsT of NW?
If not, won't she be jealous?

The all Seeing-Eye? A great gift for a photographer, the ability to apply your seeing eye to spot potential pictures and make masterpieces from objects or scenes most people pass-by.

To see oursel's as others see us!

So this is what they mean when they talk about the one-eyed monster...now I know.
Wee Doris mentioned that her ol' man was having a spot of bother in the one-eye department of late, which I thought was a bit strange as when I asked him how his sight was, he looked at me as if I were mad...I am now more informed and will buy him a pint of best when the pubs re-open.

My thanks to all for your kindness, commendable politeness and restraint. I have just noticed that I had not uploaded the versions. Thank you for not drawing attention to my folly. 😥 You haven't missed anything but at least they are now available! 🥴

Glad to see Matron is keeping a watchful eye on her beloved! Smile

Would love to write much more drivel but these strange times are wreaking havoc ( cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war, now you have spent a past life moving in the circles ever decreasing, in matters literary [ I wish spell check would work on this site esp. when the recipient of my drivel is 'Sir' in the matter EnglishWink] was that the chap who gave his wife the second best bed, of Stratford fame) with my access to my computer time.Sad

So my most humble of apologies for the lack of drivel ( thank blessed Oliver Plunket, patron saint of drunks I hear you say), abnormal service will be resumed (be afraid, very afraid) as soon as possible.

Make sure you and Matron stay safe young Sir G.
